Personal Statement from the Current Owner

'Established Business - Sale of Eklektos Bookshop - A.Papandreou Street 13, Elounda, Crete.

I bought this business over 3 years ago when turnover and profits were at a all-time low. During the 3 years I have owned the bookshop I have doubled turnover and have made a profit more than sufficient to live on in Elounda. I have achieved what I set out to do.

This is the legacy I leave for the new owner, ie a ready-made business which can trade profitably from day one, plus aa successful business plan which has been proved to work.

The shop has an area of 70 square meters approx plus a terrace of some 20 square meters. The sale price includes all the stock of books, cards and gifts, plus the fixtures and fittings, the computer and my website which both promotes the shop for those coming here on holiday and the sale of books on the internet.

Eklektos Bookshop is featured in many countries guides to Crete including the complete Lonely Planet guide to Crete. Next year we will be in the Rough Guide to the Greek Islands. We also have a page on the busy "elounda77.net" website. Our reputation is first class.

Expenditure on overheads such as rent, council tax, telephone, electricity, accountancy etc. totals only XX REMOVED XX euros a year. It is impossible to lose money!

The shop is leasehold and the current lease expires in December 2014. You would have the choice of continuing the current lease or starting a new one at about XX REMOVED XX euros a month.
